WHEN you start to see flags out of windows, on streets and ‘Three Lions’ recirculating on social media, you know it is just around the corner.

Euro 2020 begins this Friday, with England’s opening group game against Croatia at 2pm on Sunday.

With varying rules across the United Kingdom as to how you can watch it and who you can watch it with, if you have not bagged tickets, we rounded up the rules as to how you can enjoy the Euro’s in Warrington as coronavirus restrictions are easing.

Watching at the pub

Pubs have been given advice to ensure busy and successful events over the tournament with current restrictions in mind.

Inside a pub, up to six people from six different households can meet, or two households of any size.

Outside of a pub, you can meet up to 30 people in a beer garden.

Having mates around

If you want your friends or family around, up to six people from multiple houses or two households of any size are welcome.

Inside, you should keep rooms well-ventilated, maintain social distancing and wash your hands regularly.

Outside, they have the same rule as beer gardens in that up to 30 people can meet.

Going to fan zones

Old Market Square by the Golden Square will host a fan park with their own ticketed events.

Although, tickets for both Croatia and Scotland games are sold out.

Wherever you are watching the games, be it at home or elsewhere, if England do score (you would like to think so), hugging close friends and family you do not live with is deemed as a personal judgement.
