A DRINK driver fled the scene after crashing while nearly three times over the legal limit.
Urszula Barankaewjcz was driving her Range Rover Evoque on Ashmore Close in Birchwood on Thursday, May 13, when she was involved in a collision with a Vauxhall Corsa.
The latter car was damaged during the incident, but the 38-year-old motorist failed to stop.
She was later apprehended by police, and was found to have 102 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath when tested – the legal limit being 35 micrograms.
Barankaewjcz, of Redshank Lane in Birchwood, admitted drink driving, failing to stop after an accident and driving without insurance at Warrington Magistrates last Wednesday, June 2.
As well as being banned from driving for 26 months, she was handed an 18-month community order with a rehabilitation activity requirement of up to 20 days and a supervision requirement.
The defendant was also told to complete 120 hours of unpaid work and to pay a £95 victim surcharge plus court costs of £85.
