CLASSES have been launched across Warrington where babies and adults can socialise and meet new friends.

The classes, hosted by Little Movers, are a series of exciting dance and movement programmes for children under school age.

Little Movers was founded in 2007 in Gateshead and is an award winning programme.

Sarah Horton, from Orford, decided to launch the franchise in Warrington, which is the first Little Movers to come to the North West.

Warrington’s current community classes are ‘baby movers’ and ‘little movers.’

Baby movers is a relaxed and friendly class where babies and adults can socialise and meet new people.

The baby movers classes are designed for babies from birth to toddling.

Sarah, 36, said: ‘‘We sing, dance and play and have lots of fun and laughter.

‘‘Baby will get a little workout which will help with sleeping.

‘‘It’s great fun so both mum and baby will feel happy!

‘‘We develop strong bones and muscles and provide a great opportunity to develop social skills and make new friends.’’

The Warrington programme also hosts a ‘little movers’ class aimed for walkers to preschool.

These classes are ‘fun’ and ‘action-packed,’ with singing, playing games, using props, and using imagination to go ‘on some amazing adventures.’

Sarah said: ‘‘We encourage every child to help them to have fun, feel confident and develop new skills which will help them when they start school.

‘‘Little movers ensures that we also have lots of fun and both children and parents are laughing and making memories to last.’’

The classes are designed to benefit babies and parents who were impacted by lockdown and missed out on the social aspect of their development.

Sarah said the demand was ‘incredible’ for her classes and she had sold out for the whole first term before the classes had even started.

Due to such a high demand, Sarah has doubled her classes for the second term and has taken on a member of staff to help her deliver the classes.

The programme has 20 classes over 6 days and many have already sold out.

However there is still availability in Orford, Winwick, Padgate, Woolston, Latchford, Grappenhall, Stretton and Lymm.

Sarah also has special outdoor classes during the holidays which will be in Winwick and Appleton.

She added: ‘‘If you want a baby and toddler class that is just as much fun for you as it is the children, then this is the place for you.’’
