A FURNITURE store is set to move to a new home after 20 years.

Branches of Warrington has been based on Wilderspool Causeway for the past two decades.

But now the family business will be relocating to a new ‘purpose designed’ two-storey showroom at Linerva House, next to the Royal Mail’s sorting office on Milner Street.

First set up in 1994 on Sankey Street, Branches moved to Wilderspool Causeway seven years later and has been a fixture of the main route into the town centre since.

The current branch will remain open for a clearance sale over the coming days, but it due to close within a fortnight.

Co-owner Howard Ashwood said: “Myself, my son Simon and the Branches team are delighted to announce our new store location on the fringe of the town centre.

“This is almost like completing a full circle as the business first started as Durham Pine at premises on the corner of Sankey Street and Legh Street, where we traded for just over seven years before moving to Wilderspool Causeway.

“We look forward to warmly welcoming everyone to our bright new airy showroom, where we will display and supply an extensive choice of stylish and affordable, high quality furniture ranges for everyone.”
