THE number of patients being treated for coronavirus in Warrington Hospital has fallen again.

Latest figures from this lunchtime, Friday, show 15 patients at the Lovely Lane site.

One is in intensive care.

One patient has been sent home in the past 24 hours.

The figures mean there have been no deaths for 10 days. The total number of people to have sadly died since the start of the pandemic remains 499.

Just 28 people tested positive for coronavirus in Warrington in the past seven days.

The latest figures from Public Health England show a continuing fall in the number of new cases.

In the previous seven days, 50 people had tested positive.

The rate in Warrington is now 13.3 per 100,000 residents.

That is one of the lowest in the north west and across England.
