THE number of people receiving care at Warrington Hospital after contracting coronavirus has fallen slightly.
This is according to Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in its daily Covid-19 briefing.
As of this afternoon, Thursday, the Lovely Lane site is caring for 16 patients that have tested positive for the virus, of which one is in intensive care.
Two more patients were discharged from hospital since yesterday after recovering from coronavirus, bringing the discharge total to date to 2,013.

Moreover, no new Covid-19 deaths have been recorded in the past 24 hours, with the last virus-related death coming more than a week ago.
As a result, the trust’s Covid death toll remains at 499.
Since the start of the pandemic, the trust has conducted a total of 94,343 tests for coronavirus, with 5,455 producing a positive result.
