HERE is this week’s round-up of road closures in the Warrington area in the coming days.

  •  London Road, Stockton Heath >

As part of the renovation work at The Forge Car Park, a closure will be in force from Monday, May 17.

The footpath along the A49 London Road from its limits with The Forge Car Park to its intersection with the path to St Thomas’s Church will close for three weeks from 8.30am to 5.30pm.

The highway improvements works are part of the Forge scheme.

The alternative route will be via A49 London Road, Ellesmere Road and Egerton Street. Closures will be signposted.

  •  Roads around Padgate, Fairfield and Howley >

Carriageway works are due to start next Monday, May 24 and last for eight weeks.

The roads affected are Oakland Street, Padgate Lane, Grosvenor Avenue, Connaught Avenue, Clarence Street, Derby Drive, Claude Street, Granville Street, Buckton Street, Marsh Street, Fife Road and Egerton Avenue.

Will will run between 9.30am and 5.30pm and 3.30pm when work is on Padgate Lane.

Diversions will be signposted when necessary.

Access will be under control of the relevant contractors.
