ONE coronavirus death was recorded at Warrington Hospital over the bank holiday weekend.
The sad news was confirmed by Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust this afternoon, Tuesday.
As a result, the trust’s Covid-19 death toll has risen to 499.
Patient numbers fell over the weekend as six more people were discharged after recovering from coronavirus.
This brings the discharge total since the start of the pandemic to 1,995.

At present, 17 beds at the Lovely Lane site are occupied by Covid-positive patients, of which one is in the intensive care unit.
To date, the trust has conducted 90,327 tests for coronavirus, with 5,425 returning with a positive result.
