A TEENAGER had to be rescued by firefighters after climbing onto the roof of a building in Thelwall yesterday, Sunday.
Shortly after 6pm firefighters were called to reports of a person trapped on a roof in Lymm Road.
Two fire engines from Lymm and Stockton Heath attended the scene, along with the rope rescue unit.
On arrival they found that a 15-year-old boy had climbed onto the roof of a building and was unable to get back down.
Firefighters used an aerial platform cage to reach the boy and bring him down to safety.
He was then passed to the care of paramedics to be checked as a precautionary measure.
Firefighters were detained at the scene for around one hour and 15 minutes.
