A Warrington student has hiked halfway up the country travelling 360 miles in 12 days – to raise funds for a mental health charity.
Herbie Rodgers from Great Sankey drove to Land's End with his dad John and set off on the long walk home to Warrington on Sunday, April 11.
The 19-year-old covered around 33 miles each day and raised £2,500 for mental health charity MIND.
Herbie, who is hoping to study physical education at Sheffield Hallam University in September, said: “The first few days were tough because the hills are relentless but the scenery was amazing.
“We were really blessed with good weather, which made the whole trip much easier.”
MIND is a national charity that aims to ensure that nobody faces mental health issues alone.
