A WARRINGTON night spot that has been in the town centre for more than a decade has made the hard decision to permanently close.
Showbar has not been able to open throughout the pandemic but has kept in touch with regulars on social media and has aimed to keep people's spirits up in lockdown with the likes of live streams of DJ sets.
Now the sustained closure and 'circumstances beyond our control' has led the team to permanently shut.
On Facebook they said: "It is with a very heavy heart that Showbar announces our permanent closure.
"Owing to circumstances beyond our control it is not viable to continue.
"After 11 wonderful years serving our valued and loyal customers with great shows and entertainment supported by our amazing staff we thank you all and we will miss you. Stay safe."
Showbar opened in Friars Gate in 2009 and has welcomed the like of Fatman Scoop, Sean Kingston, Basshunter and Judge Jules. MTV has also filmed there.
