FIVE more patients have been discharged from Warrington Hospital in the past 24 hours after recovering from coronavirus, as the downward trend in patient numbers continues.
The good news was confirmed by Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust this afternoon, Friday.
It means that since the start of the pandemic, 1,956 patients have been discharged from the hospital after beating the virus.
At present, the Lovely Lane site is caring for 25 people that have contracted Covid-19, of which three are in the intensive care unit.

In addition, no new deaths have been recorded for a fourth consecutive day, meaning the trust’s virus death toll remains at 495.
To date, the trust has conducted 82,740 tests for coronavirus, with 5,358 returning positive.
