ONE of Warrington’s biggest gyms is reopening on Monday after being transformed into a 'world-class fitness facility'.

Xercise4Less went into administration in July but the Cockhedge Centre site was taken over by JD Gyms, who have saved the jobs of the former staff.

Featuring more than 300 pieces of the industry’s best fitness equipment, the gym will also offer one of the region’s largest free weights zones, prowler/sprint track, rig and boxing area.

The studios will play host to more than 300 classes a month, all of which are included with membership.

Existing Xercise4Less members will receive a free month at JD Gyms upon reopening, to thank them for their loyalty.

Alun Peacock, managing director of JD Gyms, said: “Warrington is a key location for us to increase the number of JD Gyms in the north west as our national roll out continues.

"We’re incredibly excited to have transformed the old Xercise4Less gym and created a higher standard of fitness facility for the people of Warrington.”

The gym will be open from 6am to 10pm on weekdays and 8am to 8pm on Saturday and Sundays and have free parking on site.

For new members, membership is £5 for the first month, then £19.99 a month with no contract or joining fee.
