THE number of patients receiving care at Warrington Hospital for coronavirus has fallen further.
This was confirmed by Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in its latest Covid-19 update.
As of this afternoon, Wednesday, 41 beds at the hospital are occupied by patients that have contracted coronavirus.
Of this number, five are in the intensive care unit.
Sadly however, one more Covid death has been recorded, bringing the hospital trust’s virus death toll to 492.

Since yesterday, another two patients were discharged after beating coronavirus, taking the discharge total since the start of the pandemic to 1,933.
To date, the trust has conducted 78,995 tests for Covid-19, with 5,331 producing a positive result.
