A working mum who was tired of the busy commute to city centre offices has launched a successful business offering workspace that is much closer to home.
Just two years after setting up WorkSmarthub on Shaw’s Road in Altrincham, Carla Wells is bringing her exclusive suburban office spaces to her hometown of Warrington.
The 42-year-old spent years driving into Manchester city centre during rush hour from her home in south Manchester and wanted to bring inspiring, on trend work spaces to the suburbs.
WorkSmarthub was launched in 2018 offering a home from home feeling in a comfortable environment from the middle of Altrincham with day desks, private meeting rooms and offices and at the end of April her new base at The Maltings on Wilderspool Causeway will be opening its doors.
Worksmarthub offers a complete service with high-speed fibre broadband, a design-led specification, clutter-free workspace and professional environment all available 24 hours a day with no restrictions and with 24 hours customer service.
Carla, who is mum to ten-year-old Autumn, said: “At WorkSmart, we are all about people being able to work their best life.
“We believe there’s a better way of working – one that drives growth but also feels great.
“For us, working smart is about working to live not living to work.”
She added: “We provide the very best in comfortable and classically contemporary workspace that allows you to carry out quiet or confidential work in a shared office environment.

Carla, who lives in Mobberley, believes that her business offers the opportunity to create valuable relationships, on a digital platform to connect with others, encouraging networking and establishing relationships for all members.
It helps avoid set up costs, capital investment and building or landlord problems and all you need to do is bring your own devices as she will provide the rest.
Carla said: “It is a welcoming and energising space with signature styling and an uplifting ambience that nurtures creative thinking and independence.”
