PUBS and bars with beer gardens and outdoor spaces can now allow customers to use tables outside as part of the PM's 'roadmap' to release England from Covid restrictions.

The move has seen many Warrington venues welcome customers again.

Below are the pubs and bars that have confirmed they are currently open.

Blackburne Arms

Warrington Guardian:

The historic Orford Green pub will be serving pints outside from Monday.

Bulls Head

The traditional community pub in Church Street is reopening its outdoor seating from 12pm on Monday.

Chapelford Farm

The Greene King venue in Santa Rosa Boulevard is reopening its five heated huts in its newly refurbished beer garden.

And there is an app for all the food and drink to be brought out to you.

Church Green, Lymm

Warrington Guardian:

The Lymm pub restaurant, led by acclaimed chef Aiden Byrne, is looking forward to reopening his glass-fronted, all-weather space.

Aiden has confirmed that 'The Pavilion' is relaunching on April 12.

The 'show-stopping' addition to the Higher Lane venue has a marquee-style canvas roof, mood lighting, outdoor heaters and a fire pit with space for about 80 diners.

Bookings are being taken via bookings@corksout.com or by calling 267700.

The Ferry Tavern, Penketh

A traditional pub overlooking the River Mersey with a large beer garden.

It is known for its great real ale and fish and chips. It books up fast. You can check availability here

Friars Court, Barbauld Street

Friars Court will be reopening its doors for the first time in six months when lockdown restrictions for the hospitality sector start to ease.

The popular bar and music venue closed at the beginning of October after Covid rules such as the curfew and having to order food with drinks took their toll.

Now Si Pugsley, who runs Friars, is looking forward to welcoming people back to the newly refurbished courtyard from April 12.

Friars will operate more as a pub rather than the late night bar it has long been known as. A pizza menu is also being introduced.

Friar Penketh

There is space for around 70 people at the Friar Penketh's limited outdoor space on a first-come first-served basis.

Visitors can sit in the existing yard and a 'pavement cafe' has been created with a small of tables available in front of the Barbauld Street pub.

The pub currently offers a slightly reduced menu, to include breakfast, burgers, pizza, deli deals, fish and chips and 'British classics' available from 9am to 9pm all week.

Customers will be able to order and pay through the Wetherspoon app but table service will also be available.

Hideout, Sankey Street

Warrington Guardian:

The Sankey Street venue has been undergoing a full refurb and investment during the lockdown to be able to welcome guests outside.

Hideout has transformed part of an old roof into a seated balcony which is integrated into the top bar area.

A electric canopy also now covers the terrace so people can make use of it whatever the weather.

You can just walk in with no booking system.

La Petite Maison

The Bold Street House team, who have recently topped Tripadvisor's best restaurants in Warrington, have created a little pop-up cocktail bar in Queens Gardens.

You can relax with a cocktail, beer or wine on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays in pre-booked pods or on picnic benches that are available for walk-ins.

The bar itself is pretty unique too - it's a 1979 Citroen HY van that has been painted and completely transformed.

Libertys Gin bar, Culcheth

Libertys has two outside areas for visitors to enjoy when it reopens on April 12.

One is at the front and one is to the rear on the veranda that's south facing.

Ken Wright, from Libertys, said: "We have taken on four extra staff from our village, young staff that have been fully trained and this is giving them their first insight to working in this industry.

"We have kept them on all way throughout the lockdowns and they can't wait to come back and that goes for the rest of our fantastic staff.

"During the first lockdown we totally refurbished the bar and our friends absolutely love the new look.

"Libertys was awarded best pub of the season from Camra just before the first lockdown and another during lockdown so we can not wait to celebrate with all our friends.

"We would just like to say to everyone stay safe and can't wait to welcome everyone back."

Little Manor, Thelwall

Warrington Guardian:

The Bell Lane pub's garden - including its teepee - will open on April 12.

Bringing the indoors outdoors and combining glamping vibes with Covid-19 era al fresco drinking, Little Manor introduced this 20ft all-weather structure in September.

The teepee offers rooms for up to 36 people on tables of four or six that are set apart to observe social distancing rules.

A spokesman said on Facebook: "Amazing news. Our teepee tables are now bookable online for groups up to six, or two households.

"Our other terrace tables will be available (weather permitting) however, these can't be booked in advance.

"We are so excited to be able to be offering our super al fresco dining and drinking experience and to see your lovely faces again."

A spokesman said on Facebook: "We are looking forward to seeing our wonderful guests back on the terrace at The London Bridge soon.

Postern Gate, St Austins Lane

The cocktail bar has a large, partly covered beer garden which will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

With 70 tables in two areas, it can accomodate around 300 people.

Rams Head, Grappenhall

Warrington Guardian:

The Rams Head has undergone a £200,000 transformation under new business owner Ross McCrickerd.

But few have got to see the pub so far because of the lockdowns and various restrictions.

But Ross is well equipped for outdoor customers thanks to his heated, illuminated garden pods.

Additional covered areas and spaces have also been created and there is an all-new menu plus an ‘ice cream shack' that will open not just for people using the pub but for passers-by too.

He said: “It has felt like a long time since we closed, however we can’t wait to be back and open again.

"Everyone needs some normality back and the pub has, and always will be a hub for meeting and socialising.

"While we do want to get the doors back open, operating safely will always be very important to us. Looking forward to it though.”

The Rams Head is opening on April 15.

The Saracens Head, Wilderspool Causeway

Tina Griffiths took over the pub in July and so is very much looking forward to reopening The Saracens Head's beer garden on April 12 and meeting new faces.

She said: "I became landlady in July 2020 so as of yet I’ve not been able to operate at full potential, so the roadmap is a very exciting time for myself and my team.

"We have probably one of the biggest beer gardens in Warrington, and have four individual heated areas, along with two other covered areas in our courtyard, and additional seating at the front."

The pub also now serves Thai food.

Seven Woods, Westbrook

Seven Woods' all-weather al fresco dining section can accommodate around 40 people altogether with social distancing.

Lez and Vicki Anders spent three weeks of the second lockdown creating the addition to the Westbrook Crescent pub, owned by Marston's.

The Tavern, Church Street

A popular sports bar and tap room for Warrington's 4Ts Brewery.

The Church Street pub is also consistently in the Campaign for Real Ale's Good Beer Guide.

From April 12, The Tavern will be unveiling its newly renovated covered outdoor seating area for around 70 people.

There is a further uncovered area for about 30 people and the space has six heaters and two TVs for all sports coverage.

The 'Gin and Cigar Bar' features a garden theme with a large olive tree, marble top bar and fire table.

Spirits, champagne and cocktails – including San Lorenzo’s signature Pina Colada served in a pineapple – are on the drinks menu.

And The Terrace also serves small dishes such as buttermilk chicken, pizzettes, cured meat planks and cheese boards.

It will be open all day, every day from April 12.
