A wedding celebrant is reaching out to couples who have had to postpone plans for their nuptials due to Covid-19 promising to deliver the perfect day.

Laura Hurley from Sankey Bridges is not only offering to help loved up couples reschedule their big day but she is also able to preside over naming day celebrations and funeral services as well.

The busy mum-of-three has worked with hundreds of families over the past 20 years and became a celebrant three years ago.

She spends time getting to know families, couples and individuals and allows them to share their memories and hopes for the future so that she can create a unique and bespoke ceremony for their special occasion.

Warrington Guardian:

Laura said: “I love meeting loved up couples and proud parents, learning what makes them unique as individuals or as a family.

“Once I know my client’s stories, I create a bespoke ceremony that brings their words to life and delivering the ceremony on the day is the cherry on the cake.

“I really do have the best job in the world!”

The 39-year-old has ceremonies in the diary for the later this year which include a marriage of Harry Potter and Marvel fans featuring unbreakable vows and she has conducted weddings in the past for couples who believe in fate and follow the Chinese tradition of tying red string to your finger so that you’re joined together for life.

Laura’s ideal wedding ceremony as a celebrant would take place high in the sky in a hot air balloon but she is also keen to gain her SCUBA diving qualifications so that she can hold events under the sea.

Laura said: “I believe that we should be able to celebrate our relationships and milestones in a colourful way that is meaningful to us.

“That is the beauty of having a celebrant lead your ceremony.

“If you want to renew your vows in a hot air balloon, commit to your partner on a boat in the middle of the ocean or hold a naming ceremony in a zoo, then I can make it happen.

“The more adventurous the better!”
