FIRE crews were kept busy last night dealing with a rubbish fire and a garage blaze.
One fire engine from Penketh was called to Bembridge Avenue around 9.50pm last night, Friday, March 5.
On arrival the crew found a small bonfire in a woodland area.
Firefighters used water back packs to extinguish the fire and were in attendance at the scene for around 40 minutes.
The cause of the fire is believed to be deliberate and anyone with any information is asked to call Cheshire Police on 101, quoting IML-932041.
Then shortly before midnight, two s, one from Lymm and another from Stockton Heath, were called to Lumb Brook Road, Appleton to reports of a fire in an outbuilding.
On arrival the crews found a fire in a garage measuring approximately 10 metres by 15 metres.
Two firefighters, wearing breathing apparatus, used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.
The crews also used cutting equipment to remove the ceiling and a thermal imaging camera to check for any hotspots.
Firefighters were in attendance at the incident for approximately one hour.
