FIREFIGHTERS were called to a house fire last night caused by an unattended candle.

At around 8.10pm crews from Warrington were to a house on Mildenhall Close, Warrington.

On arrival crews found that there had been a fire in the bathroom caused by unattended candles.

The fire itself had already been extinguished, but the property was heavily smoke logged.

Firefighters used a large fan to clear the smoke from the property, they also used a thermal imaging camera to check for any hotspots.

The crew were detained at the scene for around 40 minutes.
