PAT Clarke has asked that her husband Peter's family and friends wear their rugby league colours on his funeral day.
Former professional player Peter, 75, died at home with his family at his side on Tuesday, February 23, after an illness (not Covid-19).
His funeral will take place on Thursday, March 11, at Walton Lea Crematorium at 10.20am.
With current restrictions in place on the numbers that can attend funerals, it is thought many of Peter's friends will pay their respects socially-distanced on the streets of Latchford after the cortege leaves the family home.

Peter had a long history with rugby league, having played and coached at Crosfields and Latchford Albion as well as enjoying a 15-year professional career with Rochdale Hornets, Blackpool Borough, Swinton, Huddersfield, Wigan and Bramley.
He also coached professionally at Trafford Borough for a couple of assistants when his good friend Mike Peers was in charge.

Peter's son Graham said: "My mum has asked that if people would like to wear their club colours, whether it be Wire, Crosfields, Latchford or wherever, then they’re more than welcome to.
“We can’t have a wake at this time. But at a later date when it’s possible there will be a celebration of dad’s life. I imagine it could be summer/autumn."
Peter will be leaving Cumberland Street between 9.50am and 10am and then joining Park Avenue to reach Knutsford Road and then on to Walton Lea.
It will be family flowers only, and donations can be made to St Rocco's Hospice if desired.
