CREAMFIELDS has teased its plans to push ahead with one of the biggest parties of the summer.

Boris Johnson revealed his ‘roadmap’ on Monday to release England from coronavirus rules, largely due to the success of the vaccination programme.

If all goes to plan, a provisional date for all restrictions will lift in the country on June 21.

This includes major events and festivals, with Creamfields set to take place in Daresbury over the August bank holiday weekend two months later.

Tens of thousands of music fans attend the event.

Organisers confirmed on Thursday the festival is now sold-out and preparations are gearing up for August.

A spokesman said: "The award winning four-day festival which will be bringing together over 300 acts from the dance music spectrum makes its return this August Bank Holiday weekend.

"Following the festival's cancellation in 2020 due to the pandemic and many fans retaining tickets for its much-anticipated return is positive news for the live music industry which has largely remained closed over the last 12 months.

"The news follows the Prime Minister's ‘road map’ address on Monday that allows the safe return of large scale outdoor events this summer."

On Twitter, the organisers shared the line-up and said: “Creamfields 2021 is shaping up to be the party of the summer.”

Acts include Camelphat, Chase and Status, deadmau5, Pendulum, Tiesto and many more over four days.

Fans of the event – one of the biggest dance music festivals in the world – have been sharing their reaction on social media.

But some feel it is unlikely that the festival, which sees tens of thousands of people gather together, will go ahead.

One said: “If Cream are this confident that’s a good sign.”

Another added: “I can't see this being allowed to happen at full capacity or even half capacity.”

Other music festival organisers have also shared their intentions of going ahead this summer such as Reading and Leeds Festival.
