A WOMAN with a 'flagrant disregard' for people and their property had been jailed.

Susan Costello, of James Lee House, has been jailed for 12 weeks following two attacks earlier in February.

One saw two police officers attacked, the second saw the 45-year-old attack a police car.

She appeared at Warrington Magistrates' Court on Thursday.

The first offence was on February 5 when she carried out unprovoked attacks on two police officers.

More than a week later on February 16, she threatened a victim before damaging a police car as she was arrested.

Magistrates jailed her for 12 weeks for four offences, to which she pleaded guilty. She was also fined £75.

They said she was jailed because the offences were 'so serious because the defendant has a flagrant disregard for people and their property, because the offence was aggravated by the defendant's record of previous offending and because of an unprovoked 'attack of a serious nature'.

She has a long record of offending, including being jailed in 2019 for attacking and racially abusing a police office.
