THIS week we are taking a look back to former schools in Warrington which are no longer here.
From high schools to primary schools, there has been lots of changes over the decades.
Here are some places which will take you back to your school days.
If there are any we have missed out, let us know in the comments section.
1 BEWSEY HIGH SCHOOL
Closed in 1993 due to falling pupil numbers, it is now a housing development.
Some of the buildings are still in community use.
2 SYCAMORE LANE
This school in Hood Manor was shut to allow for the new school to built on the nearby Chapelford estate.
Work is well under way for a new housing development on the land.
3 LONGBARN PRIMARY SCHOOL
This primary school closed in 2010 due to falling numbers.
The building is now operating as the New Horizons School.
4 BARROW HALL INFANTS AND JUNIORS
The old site of the school in Great Sankey was partially pulled down last year after the new primary school opened nearby on Sophia Drive.
The land is now being used by the expanding Great Sankey High School
5 WOOLSTON HIGH SCHOOL
The school gates were closed in 2012 amid great controversy with the council citing falling pupil numbers.
The King's Leadership Academy opened nearby and much of the land is now used by Foxwood and Green Lane schools.
6 GRAPPENHALL HALL SCHOOL
It closed in 2015 with children moved elsewhere in the borough.
The land remains empty with debate in the area about what the development plans should be
7 ST OLIVER PLUNKETTS >
The school closed in 2003 and the land remained empty for more than a decade.
Now, it has become a housing estate.
8 ST WERBURGH'S PRIMARY SCHOOL
Closed after a merger in 2003 with Latchford St James.
The buildings are now used as council offices.
9 BOTELER GRAMMAR SCHOOL
Boteler Grammar School was open until 1983 when it became a mixed comprehensive. It is now known as Sir Thomas Boteler CE High School.
But many readers will know it best as the grammar school.
It was founded back in 1526.
10 WARRINGTON HIGH SCHOOL FOR GIRLS
Based first in what is now the Cultural Quarter and latterly at the building now used by Priestley College, the grammar school for girls was used by a generation of young women.
It closed in the 1970s.
11 ENGLISH MARTYR'S RC HIGH SCHOOL
This Orford school closed in the 1990s when it merged to create Cardinal Newman.
