A THIEF who is banned from all shops in Warrington town centre has been spared jail after being caught shoplifting again.
Aaron Isherwood was handed a criminal behaviour order in September 2020, which banned him from entering any retail premises within the town centre.
But he stole groceries worth up to £100 from the Iceland supermarket on Crosfield Street on Tuesday, February 9.
Appearing before Warrington Magistrates Court on Saturday, February 13, he admitted breaching a CBO and theft and was handed a 16-week imprisonment suspended for a year.
The 30-year-old, of Museum Street, was told to pay compensation of £80 and a £48 victim surcharge by magistrates.
Isherwood, who is also known as Aaron Birch, was jailed for eight weeks in November last year after threatening staff at the nearby Aldi store with a needle – having only just been released from prison.
He was handed the order after a series of thefts at shops across the town.
