A CONTESTANT on popular ITV gameshow the Chase was eliminated after fluffing a question about Warrington Wolves.
In an episode screened on Monday evening, 39-year-old contestant Emma was asked which rugby league town hosts a Super League team with an alliterative name – a multiple choice question with the possible answers of Huddersfield, Castleford and Warrington.
But the insurance underwriter from Sheffield selected Huddersfield, suggesting that the team’s name may be the Huddersfield Harriers rather than the Giants.
Chaser Mark Labbett did correctly identify Warrington Wolves as the answer though, leaving the Beast only one step behind her on the board.
And Emma, who was attempting to take £4,000 of prize money into the final chase, was subsequently caught and left empty-handed.
The Wire will face off with the third option, Castleford Tigers, in their first game of the 2021 Super League season next month.
