ANOTHER lockdown walk you could choose is Weir Lane in Woolston.
Enter Weir Lane off Manchester Road and pick up the trails at the far end.
It is an interesting area with the River Mersey weir, old industrial remains and the new flood defence walls.
The paths are decent and there is usually wildlife to be seen - if you're quiet enough!

The distance you walk is up to you, as you can go there and back on various trails or you can loop back around via Manchester Road back to Weir Lane.
