A FREE job club is launching on February 3 aimed at anyone in Warrington who is trying to find work and wants some support.

The six-week online course, hosted by King’s Church Warrington, will be led by trained coaches who will walk attendees through each step of the job hunting process from CV to interview.

The sessions also aim to boost self esteem and confidence for people who have been struggling during the pandemic.

Laura Scotland, who leads the job club, said: "We know how difficult it can be to search for work, especially in light of the country being in a recession, and with many jobs being lost as a result of Covid-19.

"Job club provides a space to gain practical skills in a friendly and supportive environment that has even led to friendships being built as jobseekers journey together towards employment."

One third of participants who joined the King's Church's previous job club found employment.

The new course comes as unemployment has reached its highest level in more than four years, with 200,000 jobs lost in the three months to November.

The restrictions are taking their toll with an estimated 1.72 million people out of work.

Session one starts at 7.30pm on Wednesday, February 3.

For more information or to sign up email Laura at laurascotland@capjobclubs.org or call 07579781905.

You do not need to be of any faith to take advantage of the free course but access to wi-fi and either a laptop or smart phone is required.
