WARRINGTON has topped the leaderboard for 'best places for learning to drive' in the country.

With a 54 per cent overall pass rate the town has scored top spot out of the 30 most populated cities analysed. According to research by Zutobi Drivers Ed, 55.2 per cent of people pass first time and 2.96 per cent pass first time with no faults.

NHS worker Holly Keane, who frequently drives to and from Warrington from Liverpool, said: “The roads are just less hectic. I feel really stressed driving through the city centre in comparison to Warrington. It doesn’t surprise me at all that it is rated the best. It just feels safer”.

With only 169 accidents per 100,000 people, Warrington built up an overall score of 84.47 giving the borough a 3.89 per cent advantage over the runner up Bournemouth.

Liverpool scores 25th putting them 6th from the bottom. With a mere 41.6 per cent pass rate and only 41 per cent of people passing first time the Mersey city has a combined score 39.31. This puts it below congested cities such an London and Manchester but still above Leeds and Luton who find themselves bottom of the table with scores of 30.86 and 32.02.

While not a city, Warrington was included due to its size.
