A DEMO tape recorded by Radiohead when they were still in school is going up for auction and is expected to fetch in the region of £2,000.
The band, who met at at Abingdon School in Oxfordshire, were initially known as On A Friday because band rehearsals took place on Fridays.
The 'raw' cassette has lain unearthed for more than 30 years, and captures the group's initial songwriting sessions with unheard tracks, handwritten notes and a label design by frontman Thom Yorke.
Omega Auctions will sell the tape, with auctioneer Paul Fairweather telling the Press Association: “The tracks are raw but certainly suggest something of the fantastic potential that the band would realise in a few years’ time.”
The tape will be sold on January 26 through an online punk and indie auction.
A previous On A Friday tape sold to a US collector for £2,000 in 2013.
