WARRINGTON Wolves have confirmed the signing of Robbie Mulhern – their third new addition for the 2021 campaign.

The Wire say they have fought off competition from Super League and NRL clubs to sign the prop forward on a two-year deal from Hull Kingston Rovers.

As part of the deal, young Wolves forward Luis Johnson has moved in the opposite direction to sign a permanent deal with the Robins.

Mulhern, 26, joins having made 110 appearances for Rovers since joining from Leeds Rhinos in 2016.

He has one cap for England having played against France in 2018 and is also the vice-captain of the England Knights team.

Head coach Steve Price believes his side are getting a player whose prime years are in front of him and is excited for Mulhern to join up with his new teammates for pre-season in the new year.

“I’m excited to welcome Robbie to the club and for him to strengthen and add depth to our forward pack," he said.

“He’s a big lad with good leg speed and at 26 arrives at a really good age with his best years in front of him.

“I’m looking forward to working with him and seeing him grow as a player to fulfil his potential.”
