THE M6 will be closed in both directions for two weekends next month.
Roadworks will see the motorway closed at junction 19 at Knutsford on the weekends of January 16 and 23.
Meanwhile, the M6 southbound will be closed in this area from 9pm on Thursday, December 10, until 6am.
And the northbound carriageway is set to shut between the same times the following day, Frida, December 11.
A Highways England spokesman said: “We’re planning two full weekend closures of the M6 motorway in both directions at junction 19 on January 16 and 23 2021.
“The closures will be between the exit and entry slip roads, with a two-lane up-and-over diversion in place across the junction.
“Please expect long delays.
“The A556 will also be closed in both directions to allow M6 traffic to flow freely across the roundabout.”
