PUPILS at a primary school in Whitecross have locked horns with some very special festive guests.
Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School, on Selby Street, had a visit from Olaf and Surprise the reindeer on Monday, November 30.
Headteacher Colleen Everett said: "We have been determined to make sure that this Christmas is extra special for our children.
"After a very difficult year, during which they have not once complained, we wanted them to have a Christmas to remember.
"The school looks magical after a lot of hard work and extra working hours from staff but it was worth every minute when we saw the children’s faces on Monday morning.
"We have been planning a few things behind the scenes, but the arrival of reindeers has been a pretty good start.
"I’m really not sure who enjoyed it most, the children or the staff.
"It really was the most magical day and exactly what we wanted for our wonderful children."
