MARINE FC are living out the dream of every non-league club.

Having stunned the footballing world to reach the FA Cup third round, the Crosby-based club have been drawn at home against current Premier League leaders Tottenham Hotspur.

Neil Young's squad contains three players who plied their trade at Warrington Town earlier in their careers but are now due to face down the likes of Harry Kane and Heung-min Son.

Veteran central defender Dave Raven was man of the match as the Mariners beat National League South side Havant and Waterlooville in extra time in Sunday's second-round tie.

He joined Marine from Yellows prior to this season having spent the past two campaigns at Cantilever Park.

The 2018-19 campaign saw him named in the Northern Premier League's team of the season after helping Town to the 'super play-off' final.

That season, among his teammates in Paul Carden's squad was versatile defender Adam Hughes, who now also forms part of Young's history-making group.

Hughes spent a solitary season with Warrington before joining Welsh side The New Saints.

The third ex-Yellow in the Marine squad is forward James Barrigan, who enjoyed a loan spell at Cantilever Park from Wigan Athletic.
