CANINE residents at a dogs’ home near Grappenhall well eat well this Christmas thanks to a generous donation of essential supplies.

Lancashire-based fibre optic installation and drone inspection company Networx3 has pledged to help Cheshire Dogs’ Home – in Knutsford Road – and five other north west cash-strapped animal charities badly hit by the Covid-19 pandemic.

The firm’s annual Santa Paws Christmas appeal sees hundreds of pounds worth of cash, food and essential supplies donated to rescue centres and animal sanctuaries.

The aim of the appeal is to feed all the animals at each centre for three months, and the supplies will go a long way towards feeding those currently living at Cheshire Dogs’ Home.

“Santa Paws 2020 is already off to a flying start with money pledged and boxes of food donated,” said Networx3 commercial director and Santa Paws founder Caroline Earnshaw.

Warrington Guardian:

“This year, it is more important than ever before that we are able to make a difference to the animals that these vital charities help, because they are the forgotten victims of the pandemic.

“I’m a self-confessed animal lover and have four rescue dogs myself, so it breaks my heart to think of animals going without.

“When I fill my car with hay for rabbits, dog treats, cat food and drop off bags and boxes of donations every year, I know that Networx3 has done its bit to help.

“This year, we are going one better by starting early and giving ourselves a target of feeding all animals for 90 days – but we do need the public’s help.”
