THE 250th death from coronavirus has been reported by Leighton Hospital’s NHS trust today, November 23.
It is the only death from Covid-19 reported by Mid Cheshire Hospitals today, and it was recorded to have taken place on Sunday, November 22.
The Countess of Chester NHS Trust has also reported two new deaths from coronavirus today, with one death recorded yesterday and one recorded on Saturday, November 21.
It takes the total number of patients to have died from coronavirus at the Countess sites to 268.
Across England, 178 deaths from coronavirus have been reported by NHS hospitals today, including 19 in the north west.
Of the total number, 171 were aged 60 or over, while one patient was aged under 40.
Their families have been informed.
Only deaths that occur in hospitals where the patient has tested positive for Covid-19 are recorded, with deaths in the community excluded, such as those in care homes.
