WARRINGTON Hospital has sadly seen a further two patients die after contracting coronavirus.
In its daily Covid-19 update, Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust confirmed that its virus death toll had risen from 236 yesterday to 238 today, Friday.
The number of patients the hospital is caring for after testing positive for coronavirus however has fallen overnight.
The total is now 148, having been as high as 163 yesterday. The number of Covid-19-positive patients being cared for in intensive care remains the same (14).

To date, the trust has tested 37,969 people for the virus, with 2,666 testing positive.
The total number of patients that have recovered from coronavirus and since been discharged from the hospital stands at 790.
