THE pubs are closed until at least December but that does mean you cannot support the town's breweries.

Warrington's three main beer producers are all up-and-running throughout the second national lockdown and have cans, bottles, mini kegs and cask ale boxes for delivery or collection. They also have various deals on at the moment.

So why not put an order in, set up a Zoom chat with friends or family and turn your living room into a virtual pub?

Below is an outline of what is on offer at Coach House Brewery in Howley, 4Ts Brewery in Latchford and Twisted Wheel Brew Co in Europa Boulevard.

COACH HOUSE BREWERY

The long-established Howley real ale brewery has just launched a lockdown special – the 'Family Night Inn' package which is from £35.

It includes 12 500ml bottles in a beer crate with its own built-in bottle opener, a Coach House glass and keyring, beer mats, a family quiz and playing cards and beer nibbles.

Warrington Guardian:

Alternatively you can pour your own cask ale with Coach House's nine, 18 or 36-pint beer box. Prices start from £15 with a limited edition cask beer on offer suitably called 'Lockdown', a malty chestnut coloured ale.

There is free delivery in Warrington for orders of £25 or over. Collections are by appointment only. Call 232800 or email sales@coachhousebrewery.co.uk

4TS BREWERY

The Latchford brewery launched a delivery service that has stopped Warrington beer lovers missing the pub so much during the pandemic

It proved so popular that 4Ts was named the top Warrington business by readers in our recent '6 of the best food and drink businesses during lockdown' feature.

4Ts offers free delivery to WA1, WA2, WA3, WA4, WA5 and WA13.

Warrington beer drop offs are usually on Wednesday and Friday between 12pm and 4pm.

Warrington Guardian:

Alternatively, collection hours from the brewery in Manor Industrial Estate are Monday to Friday, 10am to 5.30pm, and Saturdays 9am to 12pm.

The brewery has recently introduced its hop-forward craft beers in cans which can be bought in 12-packs.

If you prefer to recreate the pub draught beer experience you can pour your own from three, five or 10-litre beer boxes (from £15) and five-litre mini kegs (from £20).

Head brewer Jordan Millington said: "Our beer boxes will also feature other breweries so keep an eye on our stock and future discounts."

TWISTED WHEEL BREW CO

The Northern Soul-inspired brewhouse has just moved to Warrington from Standish but has already been well received by beer lovers.

During the lockdown, the Easter Court premises will be open as an off-licence six days a week so you can pop in for cans to takeaway.

Operating hours are Monday to Wednesday, 10am to 5pm, Thursday and Friday, 10am to 6pm and Saturday, 11am to 4pm.

For more of a 'pub feel', you can order a 'growler' – which is fresh draught beer poured into a large takeaway bottle – or buy a 5l mini keg.

Company director Laura Dearman said: "We will be changing the beers on tap each week so it's a great way to sample our full range. We will start to stock a range of other craft beers and gin from local breweries through this second lockdown too.

"Also keep your eyes peeled for Twisted Wheel glassware and merchandise coming soon."

Warrington Guardian:

Current lockdown deals include any two mini-kegs for £40, three cans for £10 or four cans for £12.50 (on selected beers).

You can also get a further 10 per cent off your first purchase by signing up to the Twisted Wheel newsletter here.

Warrington deliveries are available by request – send an email to Laura at laura@twistedwheelbrewco.co.uk.

Those ordering later in the month should look out for Twisted Wheel's new releases.

Available from November 20 are Cosmic Haze, a sabro-hopped pale ale, Supersonic Rocketship, a talus-hopped double IPA, and Sgt Peppermint, a mint choc chip imperial stout in collaboration with Love Lane Brewing.
