DETECTIVES have charged a fifth person with the murder of a man in Wigan in August.
Shortly before 7.50pm on Thursday, August 6 2020, police were called by the ambulance service to reports of concern for a man outside Wigan Parish Church on Bishopgate, Wigan.
Despite the best efforts of emergency services, 34-year-old Steven James McMyler sadly died at the scene.
Lewis Peake, 21, of James Street, Little Lever, Bolton, has been charged with joint-enterprise murder and conspiracy to rob.
He will appear at Wigan Magistrates' Court today October 29.
A 13-year-old boy and Jordan Short, 19, of Rushkey Hey Road, Kirkby, have both previously been charged with murder.
Michael Callam Wilson, 20, of Northfield Close, Northwood, Kirby, has been charged with joint-enterprise murder and robbery.
A 17-year-old from the Merseyside area has also been charged with joint-enterprise murder.
All four are due to next appear at Manchester Crown Court on Monday, February 1 2021.
