A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of drug driving after being pulled over by police in Farnworth.
Officers seized a Ford Transit van from Buckley Lane yesterday afternoon, when they pulled over the uninsured vehicle.
Upon further investigation, they allegedly discovered that the driver had previously been disqualified, and had not reapplied for a licence.
As he did not have a valid driving licence, he was unable to hold an insurance policy for the van.
The man then allegedly failed a roadside drug test, with the wipe supposedly returning a positive result for cocaine.
Officers from the GMP traffic division arrested the man, and seized his vehicle.
Photos of the van and the drug test were shared on Twitter alongside the hashtag "Fatal 5", referring to the five most dangerous driving offences.
These are speeding, drug or drink driving, not wearing a seat belt, using a mobile phone, and careless or inconsiderate driving.
