6 of the Best: Florists in Warrington – as chosen by you

Our latest reader-led '6 of the Best' feature has seen countless nominations for florists across the borough – ranging from those who have made wedding dreams come true, to those who create perfect floral gifts.

There will be a different category for '6 of the Best' each week with the aim of supporting Warrington businesses in incredibly challenging times.

We were amazed by the number of nominations for the finest florist in Warrington and now we can finally reveal the six winners.

1. Hatters Bloom

Located in Golden Square, this flower shop creates bespoke floral designs for all occasions.

Customers praised the selection of flowers, attention to detail and great customer service.

One said: "Jayne Broadhurst at Hatters Bloom puts so much time and effort into everything she does and goes above and beyond!

"Nothing is too much trouble and her arrangements are stunning!"

Another added: " I recently wanted a very specific flower for a friend's birthday who is native to Australia.

"Hatters Bloom went above and beyond to help me source the flowers and created the most beautiful bouquet."

2. The Priory Flower Company

This florist can be found in Woolston and describes itself as offering 'artistic floral design, inspired by nature and creative fusion'.

One voter said: "Beth, the proprietor, is a highly skilled and imaginative floristry artist, whose creativity is demonstrated in her love of individuality - her designs are unique and tailored to every occasion.

"In addition, Beth enjoys nothing more than sharing her knowledge and expertise with others, holding workshops and events throughout the year - her wreath making sessions are a true experience and have become a part of Christmas for many people, who book well in advance year after year.

"In the current Covid climate, Beth is ensuring this tradition continues by arranging the delivery of wreath-making kits in readiness for online group classes!"

3. Flower Basket

This Norris Street-based establishment was described as 'absolutely first class' by voters and nominations stressed how nothing was too much trouble.

One read: "We always get the most beautiful flowers with a smile."

Another happy customer said: "The selection and variety of flowers is excellent and the level of advice and quality of service is outstanding.

"There is a genuine feeling that Linda knows exactly what you want, whether or not that is a bunch of flowers, a bouquet or something suitable for a funeral.

"They are always beautiful and always extremely good value."

4. Living Colour Floral Design

Located in London Road, Stockton Heath, this florists brings a fresh, vibrant feel with exotic flowers and contemporary design.

One vote read: "I buy all my flowers from there for every occasion and they’re alway perfect.

"From roses to bouquets, wreaths to house plants.

"The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, especially the owner, Heather.

"I’ll never go anywhere else."

Another customer added: "Their shop front alone is outstanding, using creative design combined with latest trends and seasonal nuances, it entices you in.

"The talent of the florists is exceptional, their use of colour and flare and their ability to always deliver something beautiful and out of the ordinary always impresses me."

5. Simply Weddings and Events

This business has gained itself a reputation for venue styling with creative designs, encompasses weddings, special occasions and corporate events.

It is based in Cairo Street.

Nominations praised Simply Weddings for being so helpful and having a great selection of flowers and plants on offer.

One voter explained: "I just love buying my mum Simply Weddings flowers, all made by the lovely Natasha and always accommodating me, making last minute bouquets.

"I must add, my favourite purchase has to be my rose gold Halloween pumpkin on display in my salon.

"This is a lovely place with a huge selection, definitely the best in Warrington."

6. Alexandra Flowers

This florist was described as creating arrangements with fantastic quality with a selection of flowers, hand tied boquets and plants.

One reads: "Alexandra Flowers at The Forge Shopping Centre in Stockton Heath is amazing and beautiful, and the quality is outstanding, as well as the customer service."

Another customer said: "This florist is so original in her presentations of bouquets.

"The exquisite choice of flowers is amazing and her funeral arrangements are absolutely beautiful.

"I am sure Alexandra Flowers deserves the title of best florist."
