A BARBER shop's plans for an expansion to its premises have been given formal permission.
Halfway Barber Shop on Warrington Road, Rainhill submitted plans to change the use of its upstairs living accommodation in an expansion of the business' premises.
A planning application was submitted to the council in August by Anne Rose seeking permission for the expansion.
It stated that the barbers has been operating downstairs in the building and is seeking to also make use of the upstairs flat which has never been lived in since the owners bought the premises in December 2018.

There would be no structural work carried out in the conversion, plans said.
The application has been granted by the council.
