A CASUALTY was rushed to hospital after a crash closed Cromwell Avenue last night.

The A574 was shut for around an hour-and-a-half after the accident near to the junction with Callands Road and Europa Boulevard.

Three vehicles – including a lorry – collided shortly after 8.30pm on October 19.

Police and paramedics attended the scene, and a woman in a white Skoda car which was involved in the incident was taken to hospital having been suffering from chest pains.

Cromwell Avenue was then reopened at around 10pm.

A Cheshire Police spokesman said: “At 8.40pm on Monday, October 19, police were called to a road traffic collision on Cromwell Avenue.

“The collision involved three vehicles – including a white Vauxhall, white Skoda and a lorry.

“Officers and ambulance attended to the scene, and one woman in the Skoda was taken to hospital believed to be suffering from chest pains.”
