A POPULAR Warrington restaurant has reopened its doors after a brief coronavirus scare.

Donatello Italian Ristorante, on Orford Lane, told customers that it was temporarily closing on Friday because a family member of a member of staff had caught the virus.

Restaurant owners said they took the precautionary measure to prevent the virus from spreading and would only reopen when staff tested negative.

And after hearing the good news that the worker whose fiancé had contracted Covid-19 had seen his test come back negative, owners said they are happy to reopen the restaurant.

Warrington Guardian:

In a statement, the restaurant said: “We are very pleased to announce that we are in the clear and our doors will be reopening today (Sunday).

“Apologies again to all of our bookings who we could not honour on Friday and Saturday.

“As a gesture of good, will we are offering 20 per cent off all food from midday until close today for customers dining in with us.

“Tables are available to book online now. Have a great Sunday everyone.”
