A MEMBER of staff at B&Q Warrington has had confirmation that they have contracted coronavirus.
The news has been confirmed by the DIY and home improvement store in Winwick, which said that appropriate measures have been taken.
The individual had not been in the Delph Lane store for more than three days before receiving their test results and is currently self-isolating.
To prevent the virus from spreading and to protect other staff members and customers, the shop has been thoroughly cleansed.
A B&Q spokesperson said: “We can confirm that our B&Q Warrington store has been deep cleaned following a member of staff receiving a positive Covid-19 test result.

“This is a precautionary measure and goes beyond government advice.
“The colleague had not been in the store for over 72 hours and is self-isolating.”
Because of the measures taken, the store remains open for business.
