ST ROCCO'S Hospice's furniture store in Mersey Street has been targeted by burglars for the second time in four weeks.
Yesterday, Monday, shop workers discovered there had been a break-in in the early hours of the morning.
It is not clear if anything has been stolen.
The incident took place just weeks after cash was stolen from the charity shop between September 12 and 14.
A spokesperson for Cheshire Police said: "At 8.44am on Monday, October 5, police received a report of a burglary at a furniture shop on Mersey Street in Warrington.
"Two men are believed to have broken into the shop by causing damage to the glass.
"They then searched the shop before leaving through the back door onto Mersey Street.
"Enquiries remain ongoing.
"If you have any information please contact Cheshire Police on 101 quoting IML 820561."
In a message posted on social media, St Rocco's director of income generation wrote: "Dear nighttime visitor, as you know by now, we don't keep money in our shops overnight.
"We know that our sofas are very comfy and it must be tempting to come and have a sit down on a cold night, but please feel free to come and have a look during the day instead of breaking our windows at night.
"You are indirectly taking money away from our patients."
The post added: "Thank you to all of our staff and volunteers for their hard work in getting the shop back up and running and to Cheshire Police for their continued support."
