SEVERAL road closures will be in place across Northwich this week.

Here's a round-up of all the closures scheduled this week, for motorists to be aware of.

Monday, October 5, to November 13

The long-term road closure continues this week of Chester Road in Marton between Whitegate Road and the Chester Lane roundabout.

The road has been closed since September 14 and will remain closed until November.

The closure is due to work being carried out by Archway Homes.

Monday, October 5, to Saturday, October 24

Percy Street in Northwich town centre is closed for three weeks.

The road was closed yesterday, Sunday, and the closure is expected to remain in place until Saturday, October 24.

The closure is to allow Cadent to carry out gas mains replacement work.

Tuesday, October 6

The A556 is due to be closed between Hartford and Davenham overnight from Tuesday night into early Wednesday morning.

The closure is due to works to the Hartford Blue Bridge and is scheduled to take place between 10pm and 5am.

Wednesday, October 7, to Friday, October 9

Station Road in Delamere will be closed for around three days this week.

The closure is due to the final resurfacing work of a new traffic island outside a new housing development.

A diversion route will be put in place using the A54 Chester Road and Delamere Road.

Thursday, October 8

Cuddington Lane will be closed on Thursday, October 8, between Warrington Road and Bag Lane.

The closure will be due to tree cutting work being carried out by Scottish Power to maintain overhead electric cables being impeded by tree branches.

A diversion will be in place directing traffic around the closure using the A49 Warrington Road, Norley Road and Cuddington Lane.

Friday, October 9 to Monday, October 12

Strengthening and refurbishment to the Winnington Swing Bridge will be completed over the weekend.

The work has been carried out in three stages, with closures taking place twice earlier this year.

The third stage will take place this weekend meaning the bridge will be closed to traffic from 10pm on Friday through to 5am Monday, October 12.
