A TRIO of teenage vandals have admitted causing more than £10,000 of damage to coaches at a depot in Woolston.
The boys trashed two coaches and fire extinguishers at Tansey’s Coaches on Melford Court in June this year, causing a total of £12,8000 of damage.
During the same period, one of the youths also damaged the wing mirror of a Vauxhall Astra parked on nearby Longbarn Lane.
All three appeared before Warrington Magistrates Court on Thursday, September 24, and were handed six-month youth referral orders.
One 13-year-old admitted two counts of criminal damage and was told to pay a total of £2,460 in compensation to the victims.
Another 13-year-old and a 14-year-old each admitted one charge of criminal damage and was ordered to pay £2,000 and £1,000 of compensation respectively.
A third 13-year-old boy admitted criminal damage in relation to the car on Longbarn Lane, but pleaded not guilty to criminal damage over the Tansey’s incident.
He will appear back before the same court later this month ahead of a trial.
None of the teens, who are all from Warrington, can be named for legal reasons.
