POLICE broke up a gathering of dozens of youths this evening.
Around 20 to 30 teenagers were reported to be congregating on Mary Ann Meadows in Westbrook tonight, Saturday.
The teens dispersed when officers attended the scene.
A Cheshire Police spokesman said: “Parents, if your children are out with friends this evening, we have had reports of a large group of 20 to 30 youths gathering together on Mary Ann Meadows.
“On police attendance, the youths have made off from officers.
“Everybody has a responsibility at the present time to follow national and local restrictions to reduce the spread of the virus and help keep each other safe.
“This includes not meeting in groups larger than six.
“Please help us to keep the people of Warrington safe by ensuring your children respect the restrictions.”
