DOGS who are the best of friends are seeking a forever family together.

Cheshire Dogs’ Home near Grappenhall is looking for a new home for two dogs who have come into its care.

Striker, a six-year-old whippet, and Gizmo, a three-year-old lurcher, came into the home together after their owner was no longer able to look after them.

The charity is keen to re-home them together.

Both dogs are very affectionate and love cuddles, and while Striker lacks some confidence he feels more sure of himself around Gizmo.

They would need further socialization training and would need to be the only dogs in the family, without cats or young children in the home.

They also need a secure garden.

"These are a fantastic pair of dogs whose loving owner had to give them up due to circumstances beyond their control," explained home manager Anna Stansfield.

"Whenever dogs come through our doors with a strong bond of friendship, we try to re-home them as a pair if we possibly can."

Anyone interested in meeting Striker and Gizmo with a view to adoption should call Cheshire Dogs’ Home on 0844 504 1212.
