RESIDENTS at a care home in Old Hall were treated to an overload of cuteness when judging a virtual dog show.

Staff at Westvale House were keen to stage the home’s very first show for residents so that they could enjoy the dogs’ ‘loveable quirks, tricks and general gorgeousness’.

Those living in the home were able to choose the winning canines for different categories, and they were spoilt for choice after the home received more than 30 entries.

First prize and best in show went to Harley, photographed sitting on a Harley Davidson bike, while all winning dogs received a certificates and doggy prizes.

Warrington Guardian:

Charlotte Aspinall, general manager at the home, said: “We would like to thank everyone for taking the time to take part by sending in photos of the lovely dogs.

“We have some big dog fans at Barchester and this engagement with the home brought so much fun and enjoyment to residents at Westvale House.

“We are continually adapting, and finding new ways to make sure every effort is focused on creating an enjoyable environment for all of our residents”
